14k Gold Filled items: This is the best option if you don't want 14k solid gold, but still want excellent quality. It has a thicker layer of solid gold over a base metal and is much more durable than gold plating. It has a longer-lasting finish compared to plating. Since this is not 14k solid gold, slight dulling can be noticeable after heavy wear and constant exposure to sprays, perfumes, etc, but not as quickly as plated. To clean, use a mild jewelry cleaner.
